Progressive lenses for both short and far distances are representative lenses for presbyopia, but other lenses such as those for short and intermediate distances and wide-vision lenses for reading are also options. The Resonas Fit lenses are general type progressive lenses for both short and far distances that are also good for short and intermediate vision.
Below are reports based on actual experiences.
Short distances: Computers, etc.
The area right in front of me appeared broader than with Resonas lenses. This was quite surprising because vision is a lot broader even with Resonas lenses when compared with conventional progressive lenses. Next, I gradually shifted my vision from the keyboard in front of me up to the monitor. My vision was definitely in focus and I was able to see clearly without my having to move my face vertically. In addition, everything looked a little larger and easier to see. Objects on my desk such as the telephone on the left and the spines of the books on the right became easier to see. Vision of my desk area therefore became comfortable. I thought that they were very effective for people like me who work a lot indoors.
Intermediate distances: A calendar on the wall 2-3 meters away
I noticed that something was a little different when I stood up and saw the poster and calendar on the wall as I approached them. The numbers and characters looked clearer than they did before. This did not change even when I slightly turned my head to the side and looked at them diagonally. These visual confirmations led me to the conclusion that my intermediate vision became broader and more comfortable than it was with my previous lenses for both short and far distances.
Far distances: Notices on the wall 7-8 meters away
I returned to my seat and looked at the wall in front of me. I felt that the power was a little weaker than it is with conventional Resonas products or that vision was unclear for a moment. This does not mean that far places look blurry like when using lenses for short and intermediate distances because I could clearly see the faces of people who enter the room and was not inconvenienced. I did not feel any discomfort the following day.
After entering my car, I was able to see that the monitor looked clearer than ever before upon looking at the navigation system as well as other areas such as the instrumental panel without moving my face too much.I next checked out the scenery directly in front of me as I drove the car. Just as it seemed when I was indoors, there was less clarity when looking far away than when using Resonas lenses, but this did not affect my driving. Because of this, types for general type progressive lens like Resonas lenses may be better for people such as drivers who want to see signs that are far away, those who work outside for many hours, and those who want to distinguish individuals at sports events and concerts. Computers, mobile phones, and television sets are things we cannot do without in modern life. They are becoming more a part of our vision life. It feels as if these new-type progressive lenses for both short and far distances were developed specifically to respond to changes in our vision life and that their developers really want us to give them a try. There are also many people who want to be able to see distant objects clearly because they spend many hours outdoors and place value on the distance portion. There are also many people who want to be able to see distant objects clearly because they spend many hours outdoors and place value on the distance portion. Therefore, there is a wider variety of lenses to choose from including new-concept lenses for both short and far distances like these, progressive lenses for both short and far distances represented by Resonas, progressive lenses for short and intermediate distances indoors, and wide-vision lenses for reading that have been specifically designed for deskwork. It is becoming more and more necessary to take time to consider and select the type of lens that is best for you in order to enjoy comfortable vision life. Please ask yourself in what situation you plan to use your eyeglasses, talk with the staff at your eyeglass shop, and take their advice. This selection process is very important with senior lenses. It is our sincere wish that you do not make a decision that you will regret and be happy that you took the time to find lenses that you are fond of.
