Even on days with high temperatures
changes its color clearly with sunlight.
An evoluted photochromic lens

You can use LUTINA PHOTO V2

both outdoors and indoors conveniently.

Blocking glare and ultraviolet rays at the same time.

LUTINA PHOTO V2 helps you resolve
the trouble you face at high temperatures.*

*High temperatures mean 40℃.

For the reduction of glare
and the health of the eyes

What is Photochromic Lens?

A lens that is designed to change
its color density with sunlight to alleviate glare.

The color density of the lenses changes according to the amount of ultraviolet rays and temperature, and that reduces glare. The larger the amount of ultraviolet rays are and the lower the temperature is, the deeper the color of the lens becomes.

What is LUTINA?

A lens that protects lutein for the health of the eyes.

Cutting off approximately 94%*2 of
High Energy Visible(HEV)*1 light that causes some risks

LUTINA lenses protect “lutein” by effectively blocking HEV light, which is a contributory factor to oxidative stress and lutein degradation.

〈When wearing ordinary lenses〉

The eye is subjected to oxidative stress by light, and lutein (pigment) is apt to deteriorate.

〈When wearing LUTINA lenses〉

By protecting lutein, oxidative stress is reduced, and the degradation of lutein (pigment) is suppressed.

  • *1 HEV…High Energy Violet light:400〜420nm (HEV does not represent the entire wavelength range of blue light.)
  • *2 Refractive index of 1.6 in case of 2mm flat plate center thickness
  • *All photos and illustrations contained in this catalog are images.
The colors of lenses in this catalog are different from actual colors for the reason of printing.

Our popular LUTINA PHOTO has been renewed with higher performance!
LUTINA PHOTO V2 is convenient to use at any temperature!

LUTINA PHOTO V2 has overcome the weak points of conventional photochromic lenses;
its color changes deep with sunlight at high temperatures.*

*High temperatures mean 40℃.
  • *These lens colors are the density images assumed from measured values under the temperature conditions at 40℃, 23℃, and 5℃. Therefore, color tone and color density changes depending on materials and usage environment.

The density of lens color becomes darker even at high temperatures.*

LUTINA PHOTO V2 is a high-level photochromic lens with a feature of deepening the density of lens color, which has overcome a shortcoming of conventional photochromic lens that is difficult to change the color density at high temperatures.

*High temperatures mean 40℃.

Deep color payoff even at high temperatures

Eye care at anytime conveniently by adjusting color brightness

This is the photochromic lens made of LUTINA materials that can be used in every situation in 24 hours and cares your eyes all day long at anytime and anywhere.

Available in every situation

Protecting eyes against ultraviolet rays coming from 360° Equipping with P-UV as a standard

LUTINA PHOTO V2 offers you comfortable and healthy daily lives by blocking not only ultraviolet rays that enter your eyes from the front surfaces of the lenses, but also ultraviolet rays that get into your eyes by reflecting on the back surfaces of the lenses considerably.

Blocking ultraviolet rays reflected on the back surfaces of the lenses significantly

  • *The reflectance at an incidence angle of 45° on a 1.60 plane plate (t=4mm) is the value calculated by subtracting the average reflectance value at an incidence angle of 45° at a wavelength of 280 to 380 nm from 100.

  • *Visual transmittance is a value that expresses the ratio (%) of the amount of light transmitted through a lens as perceived by the human eye. The higher the value, the brighter the lens is to the eye.
  • *The above color data may vary depending on lens material, coating and power.

  • *All photos and illustrations contained in this catalog are images.
  • *Since the effects of photochromic lenses differ depending on individuals, they may not always be effective.

Notes on use

  • ・Once the color becomes deep, the lens will take time to become pale. Do not use LUTINA PHOTO series in a dark place such as tunnels and at dusk because it is dangerous due to an insufficient amount of light.
  • ・The density of photochromic lenses will change depending on the intensity of ultraviolet rays and temperature. Even if the amount of light is enough, there is a tendency that the color of photochromic lenses does not get darker in the summer season with high temperatures. The color of photochromic lenses may darken too much in the winter season with low temperature. Please note that it is dangerous to use LUTINA PHOTO series when the amount of light is not enough.
  • ・This product is a plastic lens but may break if it is exposed to an excessive impact.
  • ・Before using LUTINA PHOTO series, make sure to read “Instruction for Use”.
