TOKAI OPTICAL CO., LTD. released new colors, “Blue” and “Green,” for its high temperature-adaptive type photochromic lens “LUTINA PHOTO Version 2” on March 10th, 2026.
High-temperature resistant photochromic lenses now available in four scene-selectable colors
LUTINA PHOTO Version 2 is an advanced photochromic lens with deep color payoff even at high temperatures, reducing glare with deep color even on summer days or when watching sports.
New additions include:
Stylish color “Blue” that attaches freshness
Field color “Green” harmonizing with nature
Combined with the existing Gray and Brown, you can now choose from four colors to match your mood, fashion, or scene.
Key characteristic of LUTINA
LUTINA PHOTO Version 2 is the proprietary material “LUTINA” to protect eye health.
- Blocks nearly 100% of UV rays
- Blocks approximately 94% of risky light (HEV*)
- Block reflected on the back surface, providing ultraviolet rays coming from 360 all directions.n
- New blue and Greer colors added for a total of four color variations
- Not only combats glare, but also supports everyday eye health.
*HEV: High Energy Violet light: 400-420nm (HEV does not represent the entire wavelength range of blue light.)
